The start of Q2 has brought weakness for equity and fixed income investors alike. After a nearly uninterrupted rally from October lows, U.S. stock markets have seen their first real semblance of weakness, sparked by signals of stronger economic growth and stubborn inflation, which have pushed expectations of Fed rate cuts further out into the future. Meanwhile, the repricing of rate cuts continues to fuel a year-to-date sell off in bond markets.
